The influence of music in Randy’s life goes back to when he was a child. His Grandmother was a Music Teacher in Cincinnati. She had a number of beautiful instruments including a Grand Piano. Randy’s family would visit her during the summers. As long as he can remember, she would have him sit at the piano. She would play Children’s Songs and he would sing along.
His Grandmothers maiden name was Fillmore. Her Uncles owned the “Fillmore Music House” in Cincinnati. They published music and sold and repaired musical instruments. James Henry Fillmore arranged more than 1500 marches and wrote several hymns. Two of which are “Purer in Heart, O God” and “Beautiful Garden of Prayer”.
As Randy grew older, he was involved in various music Programs. Including High School and College. He has a Bachelors Degree in Communications and one in Music. He has 12 years of experience as a Music/Choir Director at three different Churches.
This brings him to the present and his new position as the Choir Director with Blue Ash Presbyterian Church. He thanks BAPC for giving him the opportunity to bring music to the Congregation and enhance the Worship Experience.
Some of the world's most exquisite music glorifies God, and we get to share it each week. The BAPC Choir frequently sings in joint services with our sister churches, especially Montgomery Presbyterian.
